him walk to his hotel room after breakfast.
Both Sun International’s marketing manager, Thoko

for Tuesday’s official launch of the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for

I was searching some news to see if Mariah already arrived or when she will arrive as the Oprah bash is tomorrow. Nothing.... except on the front page of today's "Saturday Star" (South African newspaper), but unfortunately you need to pay to read the newspaper online and we can't read the letters on the pic (even with a magnifying glass). Anyway, the title doesn't seem very nice or maybe they are just curious and want to go stalk

Well, I made some research and found out that it could happen, eventually. Roman Abramovich, a notorius oligarch purchased a Boeing 767-300 2 years ago, the plane can be compared to flying headquarters with an incomparable luxe. He also possesses 3 yachts (at present day, it's a shame for an oligart to buy a yacht shorter than 100 meters), 7 houses in Germany, France and Russia, several houses in an elite ski resort. Another oil magnate, Viktor Vekselberg bought a $175 million diamond and a $120 million Faberge egg for his private collection of Faberge eggs, he bought a mansion for 75 million pounds sterling in London not far from Kensington Palace. Vavilov, the former owner of the oil company Severnaya Neft, purchased three diamonds for $100 million as a birthday present for his wife. Last autumn Konstantin Borovoy acquired a three-level penthouse with a pool and a winter garden in Moscow for $15 million. Such a purchase does not surprise anyone now. | Celebrity circus time in Aspen
Guess what. Last night I got to interview Mariah Carey We all know about my little tabloid fetish, so this was sort of an unexpected surprise. I totally get it that there's an unspoken Cool Guy Code in Aspen that says you're never supposed to fuss over celebrities, but I don't really care. I think it's cool. So last night I got to interview Mariah because the crew from Entertainment Tonight couldn't make it and they were super desperate to find someone who was stupid enough to spend half the night sitting around waiting to do a 60-second interview with a big star. Of course I had this huge zit on the side of my face that was really easy to see with all those bright lights. I thought I would be okay hiding it behind my hair, but Mariah was quite tall in her heels and I am a midget so I had my head tilted back the whole time. Thank god I was cut out of the shot - but I swear that was me holding the mic, really, it was. Mariah was cool and everything, but the only problem
with the whole arrangement was I was on the wrong side of the microphone.
Because I do understand those little unspoken celebrity rules, I resisted
the urge to hip check Mariah out of the shot and scream "Hey lady! Don't
you know who I am?"

This time it's the Belgian channel "Plug TV" (for the French speaking part) which will broadcast "Glitter" on December the 30th., that's great, but unfortunately I'm afraid it will be the dubbed in French version. For us Mariah fans, it's a crime and furthermore if the woman who dubs Mariah has done a bad job, all people (non-fans) will believe Mariah did a bad job  .
Oh well, at least they can't dub Mariah when she sings .

| Some infos about Oprah's Leadership Academy
for Girls and new guests announced
We know Mariah is expected to go to South Africa to attend the New Years Eve party given by Oprah for all the guests she invited at the official opening of the Leader Academy for Girls. Among the 100 guests announced (but not officially confirmed to attend yet) are Julia Roberts, John Travolta, Kristie Alley,Gayle King, Star Jones, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (who are helping Oprah open up the Academy). It will be Oprah's A-list Hollywood friends along with her friend Nelson Mandela. A friend of Oprah who will travel with her after Christmas to South Africa was invited to bring her favourite, most influential book, and the friend chose Lucy Maud Montgomery's "Anne of Green Gables" Oprah has instructed her pals just to pay for their flights, while she "will take care of everything else." The school is a partnership with South Africa's Ministry of Education and is the concretisation of a long time project inspired to Oprah by Nelson Mandela. The Academy is an innovative school where the young South African underprivileged girls are aimed to become a new generation of leaders. In a village called Henley-on-Klip (one hour from Johannesburg), you can now find a 28 buildings campus with an African roots architecture. Andrew Edward Del Palacio was booked on suspicion of felony menacing with a weapon after he allegedly brandished a blade on photographer Steve Ginsburg. The two paparazzi, both from Los Angeles, were with their packs of shutterbugs in the gondola area Tuesday, jockeying for a snapshot of the singer, who gained fame for his single "Crazy" and even more fame for his marriage to supermodel Heidi Klum. Ginsburg would prevail, thanks to his pic being first posted on people.com - enough to deflate Del Palacio's bid to sell his snapshots. Ginsburg said one of his colleagues saw Del Palacio whip out a knife, and that's when things got really hairy. Ginsburg said he feels he's an established member of the paparazzi in Aspen and Del Palacio and his group are part of a disturbing trend here. Today, I finally took some hours in the morning to enjoy the city center of Brussels and the Christmas atmosphere, without the rush. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" and some other Mariah Christmas songs were played in a lot of stores and even in the streets. But I got a nicer surprise, there were posters everywhere announcing an RnB party, and.... look by yourself, it made my day...

ban on models who didn't meet a minimum body mass ratio of 18, a number
calculated on height and weight that would exclude Kate Moss. In November,
a 21-year-old Brazilian model, Ana Carolina Reston, died in a Sao Paulo
hospital from complications of anorexia. She was 5 feet 8 and weighed 88
pounds. Brazil has joined the campaign to create guidelines.
Banning skinny models can only go so far. One need only listen in on chatter in Los Angeles dressing rooms, lunch crowds and beauty salons to know that this is a city obsessed with physical ideals. The list of anorexia symptoms from the anorexia association sounds like a description of standard L.A. party chatter: a preoccupation with food, weight and the body; unrelenting fear of gaining weight; distorted body image. In questions of weight, it's an ever-losing game. Celebrities are bashed for being "fat" — think Mariah Carey or Alicia Silverstone — when they may still be pounds thinner than the average American. Many of us expected to have the "Don't Forget About Us" remix on it, but I think by postponing the album (maybe due to Clue being part of Mariah's Tour), it doesn't make sense anymore to include Mariah. | What's with all the Mariah Carey haters?
She attracts almost universal hatred and yet sells millions of records. Can I be the only one out there who thinks Mimi's music is really rather good? There are certain stars in pop the public loves to hate - almost murderously, it sometimes seems. At the moment, for some people it's Pete Doherty. Others still wish to burn Phil Collins alive. Personally, I want to give Chris Martin a really thorough slapping whenever I see him doing his "look at me, I'm a hugely sensitive showman" routine on telly. One star who attracts almost universal contempt these days seems to be Mariah Carey. Her very name is almost a cuss word, in middle-class circles at any rate. (At our office party this year, guests have been invited to run up CDs of a couple of tunes to rock the room, with just one proviso: no Mariah Carey. All I Want for Christmas is You was also named the worst Christmas song ever in yesterday's Observer Music Monthly. And this hate will almost certainly find further fuel from the weekend's news that Mimi is to sue porn star Mary Carey (to stop her trademarking the very similar-sounding name on the grounds that customers might confuse the two, thereby defaming her own "brand"). As a legal action it does sound like a fairly classic "only in America" legal case, particularly if you look - as in the interest of research, you understand, I did - at how very unlike the two Careys look. No link there, you might have noticed - you'll just have to google for Mary yourself. This is a family blog. But back to the better known Carey. While I do find the tales of her prima-donnish behaviour, her ridiculous demands for grand luxuries in hotels, etc amusing - I can't share the hatred so many people seem to have for her music. (And, since she's obviously emotionally vulnerable, I get a bit irritated at the public venom directed at a fragile nature.) People have actually said to me, in conversations about music when I've enthused about my taste for R'n'B, "I don't believe it, next thing you'll be telling me you like Mariah Carey!" The thing is, actually, I really do. I'm not a fan of her work while she was the property of Tommy Mottola, the Columbia records executive who star-spotted her, then became her husband while still managing her career. It's aimed at the mass market in a shameless way that deploys Carey's astonishing singing range to fake up strong emotion, and it's often nauseating. However, since she and Mottola separated in 1996 and Carey was able to incorporate her love for hip-hop into the songs, she has just got better and better. The single We Belong Together is plainly one of the very best pop songs recorded in the last 20 years. Yet I can remember a lot of people, after Live 8, saying it was the most appalling thing they saw all day. I saw the performance too, and I thought it was great. Tell me: am I entirely alone in recognising how
good she is? Millions and millions of people buy her records - so why does
my love for these songs feel like such a lonely passion?

As the ringtone war heats up with the recent instatement of Billboard's newest ringtone chart system, breakout reggae artist, Skull, is poised to make his mark within the new media realm. In January, YG Entertainment will release a provacative animated ringtone for Skull's first single "Boom di, Boom di" from his forthcoming album. Under the direction of Morgan Carey brother of the multi-platinum Mariah Carey, the animated ringtone is set to make big waves and take reggae to another level in the multimedia world. "There's always a lull before the industry stampede to take advantage of emerging technologies, I wanted to be leading that charge," explains Carey. "Boom Di, Boom Di is a sex you up joint, so I knew we needed the right vehicle to drive that message home. The ringtone was created by 3D animation studio VisionScape Interactive and will be distributed through VSI's mobile media distribution network making it one of the first-ever animated ringtones to be available within the urban music genre. Grammy-winning pop singer Mariah Carey is trying to block porn star-turned politician Mary Carey from trademarking her similar-sounding stage name, saying that fans could get the two performers confused. But the adult film actress, whose real name is Mary Cook, said on Friday that she would not be intimidated by the international superstar and will press forward with her trademark application. "I'm ready to battle Mariah over this because I've been Mary Carey for a long time," Mary Carey told Reuters. "It's kind of funny because I'm a porn star and I've been being myself for a long time. I think she's being silly." The star of such films as "Double Air Bags 11" and "Boobsville Sorority Girls," she started using the stage name Mary Carey in 2002 and once ran for California governor against Arnold Schwarzenegger, filed the trademark papers earlier this year. In October, a lawyer for Mariah Carey sent Mary Carey's representatives a letter threatening legal action if she did not withdraw the application. "MARY CAREY and MARIAH CAREY share the identical surname and have first names that are very similar," attorney Robert Becker wrote. And in part because the porn star was seeking the trademark for audio and video recordings, he said, "Confusion between your client and her MARY CAREY trademark and our client and its MARIAH CAREY trademark is therefore likely." Becker also demanded that Mary Carey use her name only for "adult entertainment" and that she not sing or perform music. "This is a technical procedure to stop a trademark registration. Mariah Carey has no affiliation with Mary Carey," said Mariah Carey's spokeswoman, Leslie Sloane-Zelnik. Ok, guys... 10 hours ago I posted the info below, now it seems I could be right, I found infos about a salon owner (Eneida Bailey), receiving last month her invitation by FedEx for Johannesburg , where the Oprah Winfrey Academy for Girls is scheduled to open. The 7- by 7 inch invitation includes a suede-colored padded cover decorated with a long quill and brown-and-ivory woven design accents. Inside, the handwritten invitation on specialty paper reads: "Please join me as my guest in South Africa to celebrate A New Year-New Beginnings in honor of the opening of the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in Johannesburg." The bash, by the way, begins Dec. 29 and continues to Jan. 2. So, like I posted this morning, let's wait for an official confirmation. Posted on December the 7th. |

Well, the guy from Delaware Online who claimed Mariah would perform in Times Square on New Year's Eve again this year, had probably smoked something .
A few months ago, Oprah was planning a New Year's Eve Party in South Africa, in goal to boost the interest for tourism there and to officially launch her new girl school. Normally, more than 100 celebrities are expected to attend the party. Let's now wait and see if this New Year's Eve Party will go on as planned and if Mariah will attend. "Corriere De La Serra"
That piece of trash called "Corriere De La Serra" is the most famous Italian national newspaper and is also distributed in many other countries for the Italians living outside Italy. They insulted Mariah calling her a "Zampone", which is a pig, yes you read it well... a pig  . Let's
hope Italian fans and the webmaster of Mariah Carey Live who saw this trash
in his newspaper, protest and spam the newspaper with angry but polite
e-mails.

You guys are really amazing!!!!!! Well here's the goal of the project. We will try to get "All I Want For Christmas Is You" played on a lot of European radios. I know a lot of European radios play it around Christmas time and that's good, but we need to do more and better, we can do it, we will be Mariah's Christmas Force in Europe and her little helpers
So, your task is to choose 1 radio in your country/area and starting December the 18th. request the song by e-mail or any other way the radio offers for the request, if you could keep me updated with the name of the radio you've chosen, it would be great. See, it will only take you 1 minute a day, which means 8 minutes in total.... I didn't update or reply to your e-mails yet, as I was busy the entire weekend to help in several stuffs for Saint Nicolas. For the ones who don't know who's Saint Nicolas, he's the one who comes every year in Belgium to give toys and candies to kids, and the great moment is near, he brings the gifts on the night from December the 5th. to December the 6th., sooooooo, there was many to do to help him.
